How much was your case?

Yeah I've seen his post on the pocketables forums. His seems to be running much smoother. I've gotten better results since I last posted but its still far from perfect.

Do you have an N5 yet? Great device and all that is missing for me is the built in video out.

Sorry, maybe I should have posted this here instead of the old thread:

I don’t know if you’ve seen it yet, but someone is getting pretty good external monitor video (no slideshow effect) on their Viliv N5. I’m wondering what they did differently. Take a look:

Comment on Testing the Performance of the Z-Nano Mouse by Rory

Gave it a try with the program ;-) Quite fun actually!

My score with Z-Nano (set to 1600 dpi):
Movement: 80
Accuracy: 94%
Consistency: 63%
Strength: 1069
Speed: 72

Looking at the comparative score, Z-Nano is weak in 2 areas, namely, the strength (speed of scroll) and the speed (speed of left button clicks).
Z-Nano's strength is about 1/10th that of some gaming mice, which means it scrolls relatively a lot slower. The speed of left button clicks is also less, about 1/2 to 1/3 the speed of the faster mouse.

Z-Nano is probably not meant for gaming, where fast scroll and button clicks are important. For someone like me who uses the notebook to photoshop, create powerpoint slides, work with worksheets and documents and to surf the web regularly, accuracy is probably more important. The current speed of scrolling and clicking is more than sufficient for these tasks.

Being small and portable makes Z-Nano an excellent choice for travelers and mobile users. For serious gamers, it's definitely a No-No, and it's definitely better to get a good gaming mouse ;-)

I would recommend it as one of the preferred mobile mouse around due its unique features and size, but I would definitely not use it as a gaming mouse ;-) (unless I am looking for something to blame every time I lose a game.)

Thanks for the review, Simon!

I actually tried setting the dpi to max and it was way too sensitive for the test…

Try the opposite — the lowest DPI might actually be better for games.

Will give it a shot.

Edit gave it a shot with all dpi settings and found the 400dpi to give the best performance, still got an epic fail score for the test though. :(
